Two Years
In honor of our Anniversary, Chris decided to wear his green tie and wedding suit to church. Thinking nothing of our anniversary or St. Patrick's Day, for that matter, I happened to wear the exact outfit I wore as we strolled out of our reception through a flurry of sparklers and off into marital bliss. (Please excuse the huge swooshy hair, though. I have no idea what's going on there).
I can't believe it's been two years already. I have loved every minute of it and I'm so excited for the years ahead. I can't still can't believe I married such an amazing man. Chris, you are best husband. I'm so lucky to have you!

Jane update
Jane is 6 months old now. At her appointment, she weighed in at 14.11 lbs (14 %ile) with a height of 25.9 inches (51%ile). Her newest trick is rolling over. The other day she rolled over to some shelves and I caught her pulling some books off. Seriously? Time to baby-proof already? It also did a number on her sleep schedule for a bit, but she's back to her 10-12 hours a night now (when we don't go out of town that is). She's also sitting up pretty well, going for quite a while before toppling over.
Jane only recently discovered her toes. She grabs them all the time. And now after carefully studying her friend, Mariah's, technique, she knows she can suck on them too. I think it's adorable. I love it when babies hold their toes.
When Jane gets excited, she lifts both feet and slams them against the floor. It always looks like it would hurt her heels, but she seems unfazed by it and just does it over and over.
Munchin' on her fingers, like always.

Phoenix
Chris has always wanted to go to spring training in Arizona. So when Mike told us we had a place to stay, we decided this was the year to go. Besides, how often do we get the chance to stay with Mike and have him show us around his city. It's about a 12 hour drive, but Jane's a pretty good traveller. She slept well and when she's a wake, she always has her toes to entertain her. The drive back was a little rougher, but she still managed pretty well.
We were only in Arizona for two days. It was in the high 70s the day before and again on the day we left, but for the two days we were there, we got 60 degrees and rain. On Friday we met up with Mike, for lunch and had some VERY tasty tacos, then Chris and I headed to the game. It was raining on and off, but they hadn't called the game yet. We bought tickets and stood under an umbrella for a little while waiting for the rain to subside. Then the wind started. It came on fast and hard, blowing over vending carts and stealing umbrellas. We headed to the covered area and made it just before the rain picked up and hail started. It was insane. They called the game.
On the plus side, the storm made for some beautiful clouds. We drove up a mountain side near Mike's house and got a great view of Phoenix.
We had much better luck the next day. Chris and Mike went for a run up the mountain and then Katie came over and we had breakfast before heading off to the Angels game. It was still a little chilly, but it didn't rain. We got to watch the Angels play the Rockies and Chris was happy.
The cacti are awesome. We couldn't stop pointing them out to each other even though they are everywhere down there. They just have so much character.
On our way home we took a little break and walked out on the Memorial Bridge to see the Hoover Dam. Jane LOVES the Baby Bjorn these days. She just grins and kicks her legs when we put her it it. It's pretty fun.
