Delphi Dr

 Our Delphi Dr home in Camby, Indiana.  3 Bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2100 square ft.  We rented this house for just over a year.  It's always fun to be able to look back and remember the different places we used to live, so I'm recording this mostly for my own reference to help me remember all the things we loved and hated about our Delphi Drive home.

What we loved:
Spacious rooms and closets
Having a fireplace
A backyard with a deck
The swing on our front porch
The giant pantry
Having a garage!
The little nook under the stairs to store all the toys
The hydragea bush in the backyard


What we hated:
Hardwood floors in our bedroom (not really hardwood, of course)
Terrible kitchen appliances
Gross spongey kitchen floors
The overly textured walls and popcorn ceilings
Hardwood on the stairs
Sharing the backyard with our neighbors (great neighbors, I just really wish we didn't have to share that space.)
Living so far from Costco, Trader Joes, malls, Target, etc
Gross, patchy, pet stained carpet upstairs

Anderson Orchard

I decided to take a morning and go do a just-for-fun orchard photoshoot to try out my new 85mm. We ended up with a slightly foggy day (which was perfect).  Jane's also becoming slightly more compliant with photos and can be bribed with candy and such, so that worked out too.  Peter still wants nothing to do with "looking at the camera" so I have to trick him into eye contact.  Great photos of the two of them remain elusive. Jane tried very hard to earn her Skittles by holding him down, but Peter only wanted to run free and roll rotten apples down the hill.  Still a fun morning though.  Love these little rascals.

Jane's 3rd Birthday

Jane was so excited for her upcoming birthday.  She talked about it all the time.  There would be pink balloons, and presents, a cake with pink frosting and sprinkles, and a party hat.  She got a lot of these ideas, like the birthday hat from book she has, so I complied with all her requests and she was thrilled.  She wore her birthday hat the whole time.

 Jane loved all her presents.  She got a doctor's set, a super hero cape, and a fairy costume.  Grandma and Grandpa gave her a new shirt and Kristoff and Anna dolls.  It was so fun to have them here for Jane's birthday.  Now when she talks about her next birthday (and she is already planning it) she always mentions that Grandma and Grandpa will come.

 During dinner when Jane would get really excited she'd just reach over and hug daddy's arm.

Big Bubbles with Grandma and Grandpa

Yes, I still have more pictures from my parents' visit...

We took the big bubbles over to a nearby park one evening and had fun watching the kids chase them down.  Jane was particularly excited.  Peter started out pretty gun-ho and then lost steam pretty soon after.  We ended up all swinging on the swings and trying to pop (or in my case, avoid) the stream of little bubbles headed our way.  

 Twice while my parents were here, we visited the Children's Museum.  We love that place and it was fun to have grandpa there to really show the kids how to build boats or work the construction equipment.

The train table is by far Peter's favorite.  It doesn't matter how long we stay there, there's a little meltdown when it's time to go.  (Just like whenever we go to Barnes & Noble).
