Now in RED!

I've never tried red before, so I thought why not? I'm a readhead now. Well, I'm not as red as it looks. I didn't photoshop these photos (except cropping), but the natural light coming in through the window makes my hair look a lot lighter than it is. Most people notice that my hair is dark now rather than red (Scott and Elisha can vouche for it). You can't see it very well in these photos, but I also had Elisa take about five inches off the back into an A-line cut. I love it! Thank you Elisa! I hope you wrote down that wacky concoction because I'm going to want this color again.

More Snowboarding

It's about once a week now. I need my powder fix. Last week at Brighton just after we got off the chairlift, the power went out. We were night boarding so no lights makes getting down the mountain a little tricky. That was my first braille snowboarding experience. Tuesday night I did my first table top (kind of like a rail slide, but the surface is about 8 inches wide so it's way easier.) I made it all the way to the end, though. I also jumped my highest that day. Eight feet high (Bryan claims). It was high enough to make me panic and throw my board sideways in the air. I definitely did not land that one. Frankly I'm glad the ground hog saw his shadow. That's two more months of snowboarding.

CHA Winter 2009

Every day we walked by and saw the happiest place on earth on the other side of a massive wall. I couldn't see their faces, but I know everyone in there was having a party. We had to go to work though. We did get to see Paris Hilton and Jane Seymore (Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman) promoting their new craft lines. Yes, Paris Hilton has a scrapbook line now... and why not?

This is me, workin' really hard at the tradeshow.

2nd Christmas!

Just when you think Christmas is over, a bonus package of presents arrives. Yeah! Second Christmas! The first present I opened was this custom flirty apron, hand made by my mother out of the very fabric I would have picked if I had known she was making me an apron. We went looking for fabric for everyone else's aprons, but I had no idea I was getting one too. I LOVE it!
I also got a 4 GB thumb drive that I already use all the time, a purple blouse (perfect fit), an ipod to car hook up thing (used it today so I could belt out Wicked songs in the car), and a cook book (so I would know what to do in my new apron). Thank you so much, Mom and Dad!

I LOVE SNOWBOARDING!!!

My friend Bryan and I hit up Sundance today. It was a little icy, but toward the end of the day we found a small section of powder with a sweet jump. We spent the rest of the day there, hiking up and going off this jump that would launch us about 30 feet into the powder. (We measured Bryan's furthest jump at about 30 ft. My furthest would be more like 20-25.)

Nice height, Bryan.

Me trying to do a board-grab.

This particular ninja assult on the snow went horribly wrong... It ended up like this...

Bryan shreds this gnarl

My attempt (not my best one either)

Snowshoeing

Last Saturday we decided to take advantage of the snow and go on a little snowshoeing excursion. As it turned out we probably didn't need the snowshoes, but it did make Tag and Red Rover a little more interesting (and exhausting).

Lots of little pieces of our Georgia Christmas

I know we can always count on Lisa for the detailed report, so keep an eye on her blog for the play by play. In the mean time, here are some pictures from our Christmas Vacation in Georgia.
In no particular order...

Late night movie

Scott and Molly watching people slide down the hill.

Brian... in a tree.

I love that slightly concerned look.

Ryan was so sure he knew what was in this present, but Mike has some pretty mad wrapping skills.

Mommy, I don't feel so good.

Cute little cousins

My adventure with Katie across the stream

Flat Rock Park

Annie got so excited about every present; It was hard to tell which one was her favorite. This was her reaction (if you can call it that) to each one.

Katie was the perfect little babysitter. She was always holding Foster or helping the younger kids. Katie I hope you still love babysitting when I have kids.
