Back in Utah (days 1 & 2)

Flying with kids is just not fun, but the kids did well enough for our circumstances.  We got in to Salt Lake City around 11:30 and after some trouble with a missing car seat, finally made it to Scott's house around 2 am, but not without a quick stop at In and Out for a burger.  Sometimes a burger in the middle of the night is not the right decision, but then sometimes, it's the best decision.  Best decision of the day.

In and Out was only one item on our long list of people to visit, places to see, and food to eat.  We've been gone from Utah for almost a year and being back to our old home was a lot of fun.  So many memories everywhere.  On Saturday, we hit Bajio for lunch (I miss this restaurant most of all) and then stopped in on our favorite toy store: Blickenstaff's.  We spent a little time at the splash pad, but had to cut it short just before they really got into it because we didn't have a change of clothes.  We visited the BYU campus, dropped in on the Katzoff's and met up with the family at Cubby's for dinner.  A pretty good Provo day, if you ask me.

On Sunday we went up to Temple Square.  There were some who intended to attend the Music and the Spoken Word, but the MoTab was touring that week.  We were to meet up with them after because our kids were too young to attend.  We walked around and attended Sacrament Meeting in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  It was a nice way to spend Sunday.

These girls ate most of the first batch of guacamole.

Sunday evening we went for a walk up on the hill near Scott's house.  The view was incredible.  I can't believe Scott and Elisha have that so close to their home.  It made me really miss the mountains... or hills even.  After we got up there in that gorgeous evening light, I was wishing we had dressed for family pictures.  We took some anyway with Peter in his pajamas and Jane rockin' a tunic with no leggings.

Mike took the rest of these photos.  Thanks for the family pictures and the new profile pic!

Jane was pretty obsessed with this microphone.  We had Let It Go as our theme song for the hike because she kept playing it over an over.
