Strawberry Days Rodeo

This is my fourth consecutive Strawberry Days Rodeo. It's kind of a big deal to me, so I organized a big group to go, and went and bought tickets early because it usually sells out. The day of the Rodeo was overcast but we had high hopes that it would hold off. We met a couple hours before the rodeo to get good seats and as everyone gathererd at my house, it started to rain. Not just rain, pouring rain... the kind where you can't even see across the street. Disappointed we decided the rodeo was a sunk cost and went out to dinner. When we came out from the restaurant, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the rodeo was just about to start. We headed over, got great seats, and didn't have to wait at all. Plus we got to enjoy some of this great mud. It was the best wild cow milking I have ever seen.

The rodeo clown asked for three volunteers and we all jumped up and volunteered our friend Benton. He's a barrel of laughs and not above making a fool of himself. The rodeo clown took the three volunteers out into the middle of the muddy area and blindfolded all of them. He informed them that they would be having a dance off. He then went back and took the blindfolds off the other two contestants and escorted them off the field so when the music started, it was just Benton shakin' what his mamma gave him in the middle of the rodeo arena. There were mixed reactions to Benton's slightly racy moves: gasps of horror and cheers of encouragement. From that moment on, Benton was a beloved celebrity and videos of his colorful dance can be found all over the internet.

Croproom Makeover

Finally! I have been meaning to paint my croproom since we moved offices last October. So this week it was out with the prison dirty-grey and in with the beautiful cloudy day blue. I'm pleased. To see more photos. Visit my croproom blog.

Crazy Woman Driver

Yeah, that's right. I can drive that golf cart like nobody's business and thanks to the QuicKutz Corporate Golf Pass, I do it all the time. I'm a golfing fool these days. It's so nice to start off your day with 6:30 Tee Time and watch the sun rise over the mountains. By the time I get to work, I feel like I've already accomplished something. Shane, Amy, Jamie and I went on Tuesday. Amy, Amy and I went this morning, and tomorrow morning, I'll go with the QK girls. I don't know how great my form is, but I got two bogies today!!! The fact that I am excited about that should be indicative of my "level". Still, we have so much fun and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Thanks QuicKutz.
