On Thursday before the bridal shower, Chris and I went to look at two apartments. We have been pretty stressed about finding a place to live because a couple other options have fallen through and I have a buyer for my contract, but I can’t guarantee that I’ll be out by the time she needs it. It’s been frustrating. Anyway, we went to the first place and it’s a two bed/one bath 1100 sq ft for pretty cheap. It had all new carpet, paint, and floors. It was really nice and would have been just great for us except there was absolutely nowhere to put the new grill I bought for Chris for Christmas. The second place we looked at was a 3 bed/1.5 bath with a garage and a padio. It was also very nice and we liked the layout. It was still within our price range, but a good $170 more a month. After seeing the nice cheap one, it was hard to make a decision. $2000 a year for a garage and a grill? We debated back and forth and the next morning we decided to go with the cheaper one. Our precious grill would have to reside at a friend’s house and we would go visit it from time to time. They emailed us the contract, but before I signed it, I decided to check KSL one more time. There I found a 2 bed/1 bath, 1100 sq ft with a deck! All new carpets, floors, windows, doors etc and it was cheaper than the cheap one we were going to sign. (miracle #1) I called the girl immediately and left a message. She called me back in ten minutes (miracle #2). I asked her if I could see it at lunch time and she agreed (miracle #3). I decided there that we wanted it and filled out an application. She approved it the next day and we’re signing for it tomorrow! We really got it. I’m going to move in on Monday. Isn’t that incredible? We are so excited. We’re actually going to be paying less than we do for our rooms right now. SWEET!
Chris is in Vegas on his bachelor weekend right now, so he hasn’t seen it yet, but I’ve told him all about it. I can’t wait to show it to him. It’s so fun to think that it’s going to be OUR place.
