August

Here's a few random photos from August, our first full month in Indiana.  We really didn't do a ton of exploring that month.  I feel like I spent most of my time trying to get our home set up, but here are a few things we did do.

Apple Picking
She mostly liked dragging the bag of apples around.

Raspberry Picking
Jane likes raspberries, but I couldn't even get her to try one while we were there picking.  She LOVED picking them, though and gathering them in her own bucket.

 The Indiana State Fair
We love Chris' evening schedule that makes it possible for us to go do fun things in the morning together.  As I understand it, the state fair gets pretty crazy, but on a weekday morning, it was pretty nice.  Jane loved seeing all the animals and even got to go on a pony ride.  She was SO excited to ride the horse and saying "get on horsey" over and over.  When she finally got her chance, I put her on the pony and she started calmly repeating "no? no? no?" (She says it like it's a question).   She was nervous, but she held her breath and made it through the whole ride.

 Midwest storms
We had some great thunderstorms and lots of rain in August.  The thunder would just go on and on forever and I have never seen lightning go on and on like that.  Jane loved playing in the rain... or playing with an umbrella.

Peter wanted to come play outside too.

Indianapolis Ribfest
This was actually one of the first things we did here.  We went down town and enjoyed some prize-winning ribs.  It was fun to see downtown.

Sodalis Park

Love my little celebrity, rodeo queen.
Also, check out my orange kitchen before I finished painting it a sort of sea foam color.
