Hawaii - Day V

We started at Sharks Cove for a little snorkeling, but the water was still too rough, so we just waded in the shallow cove for a bit before heading to another secluded beach on the North Shore.

We set up camp at on a beach just south of us and stayed all morning.  It was just a little windy, but otherwise quite pleasant.  We even got to see some sea turtles swimming up close.

We ate Kua Aina burgers again and then headed over to Matsumoto's for their famed shave ice.  It was good, but not as good as the shave ice Chris and I snuck out for after the kids were asleep a few days prior.  I've never even cared about shave ice, but with the ice cream on the bottom and the sweet'n'condensed milk on top... well, I'm a fan now.

After lunch Caitlin sweetly offered to watch the kids while we went stand up paddle boarding on the river.  We met up with Colette, who's been living in Hawaii for the last year and got out on the river.  The paddleboarding was awesome, but catching up with Colette was even better.  We got to visit back at the house for a while too and then ended with some shrimp from Macky's shrimp truck.  I don't even like shrimp, but I loved Macky's.
